"We must therefore create a favorable environment that will encourage the flowering of a child's natural gifts." ~ Dr. Maria Montessori
After much contemplation, listening to the concerns of beloved parents, and gaining the courage to pursue...we have decided to put our hearts into a re-imagined, Montessori inspired, arts based program for children ages 3-6 years old. We are very excited to introduce the creation of Luna Garden Montessori! Our new school will be opening this fall at the previous location of Bridges Montessori Academy. We believe that with your support and faith in our vision we will achieve wonderful life-long memories and academic moments for children once again.
The beautiful Montessori philosophy will remain a foundation to our curriculum, and we will also infuse bountiful opportunities for learning through the arts and sciences. Similar to Montessori philosophy in that kindness and respect are of utmost importance along with a carefully prepared environment, project-based learning will also be inherent in our lessons. We would like to maintain that we view parents as primary in the education process. We are committed to working as a partner with parents in an atmosphere of respect and concern to ensure a meaningful experience.

Big news is in the works... keep checking in, we will keep you posted!
Hello! We have been very busy putting together the nuts and bolts of our big adventure in education together. We will post more info as soon as we have it completely solid for you, but in the meantime... please enjoy our posts on learning and activities for your children. Thank you! Hope you are having a fantastic summer!
Relaxed summer days are a great time to connect with your children and do special activities together. There is a lot more 'empty' time to fill and can make some parents feel panicked about how to entertain our children for hours on end. In Montessori, rather than entertain the child the adult is responsible for setting up an environment that enables the child to entertain themselves. Setting up a space in your home filled with beautiful, simple things designed to inspire your child to create, can give you time to focus on your own needs while your child enjoys screen-free, meaningful time nurturing their own creativity. Here is how you can do that:
We are excited to announce our new adventure in teaching and learning! We are busy collaborating and building an environment for your children that will be positive, encouraging, safe, and inspirational. We are planting all kinds of seeds right now! The gardens are prepared for the children to pick herbs, pumpkins, and vegetables come fall harvest... but we are also planting seeds of hope and change for a learning program that provides children with skills to support a peaceful and healthy future for themselves. Thank you for your interest in our program, this is very exciting! We are in the process of obtaining licensing, and we are drafting a calendar that we will share with you next week. We are all architects of our children's success and education~ thank you for sharing in this journey with us and reading our new blog! Stay tuned... the new website with information and handbook will be up soon!
